Jason Momoa has toned down his attack against Chris Pratt’s water bottle with an apology directed at the “Jurassic World” star. Momoa jumped into the comments of a sponsored ad Pratt posted to his Instagram on Tuesday where he was seen drinking from a plastic water bottle.
“bro i luv u but wtf on the water bottle,” Momoa wrote. “no single use plastic. come on.” His comment alone has received more than 850 replies, and more than a few of them came down on Momoa for coming at Pratt so aggressively.

This is an issue the “Aquaman” star has been very publicly passionate about, even going so far as to shave his signature beard for a promotional spot in support of resuable water bottles. But after taking the day to consider his approach, Momoa clearly thinks he could have handled things with a little more tact, perhaps.

@prattprattpratt BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do. I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen. I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase. You’re an inspiration to many I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s
And so, Momoa made an even bigger statement with a whole new post on his own Instagram, complete with a picture of him and his kids smiling next to Pratt.
Tagging Pratt in his caption, Momoa wrote a thoughtful and impassioned apology, while staying true to his mission of eradicating single-use water bottles.
“I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen,” he wrote, emphasizing how much he and his kids adore the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star. He explained that his passion on the topic perhaps got the better of him, and then threw out a suggestion.

As Pratt’s original post was a sponsored ad for Amazon where the star revealed he was going to share the equipment and tools he’s used to get in such incredible shape for his second career phase as an action-movie star, Momoa suggested he sponsor with Amazon on a reusable water bottle “we all can purchase.”
“You’re an inspiration to many,” Momoa concluded his message. “I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s.” Pratt has yet to publicly respond to either post.
Mananalu is Jason Momoa’s own brand of water that is sold in 100% recyclable cans.
